About Didcot Town Council

The Town Council consists of 21 councillors, who represent the 4 wards which cover Didcot;

• All Saints
• Park
• Ladygrove
• Northbourne
  All Saints, Park and Northbourne have 5 councillors and Ladygrove 6, a map showing the 4 wards is available here (pdf) or from the One Stop Shop in the Civic Offices on Britwell Road.

Councillors do not receive any payment for being elected Members and give their time voluntarily to the benefit of the community and residents.

The Town Council is a Quality Town Council. It was first awarded quality status on 28th June 2004. It was then successfully reacredited Quality Status in June 2009. For more information click here.

The Leader of the Council for 2011/12 is Councillor Margaret Davies and the Deputy Leader for 2011/12 is Councillor John Moody.

The Town Council elects a Mayor and Deputy Mayor to serve for one year. Meetings of the Council are chaired by the Mayor, assisted by the Deputy Mayor in accordance with standing orders. The Mayor of Didcot for 16th May 2011 to 14th May 2012 is Councillor Phil Hayward; the Deputy Mayor is Councillor Peter Read.
