Due to the retirement of the existing Gardening Supervisor, Didcot Town Council is recruiting for a new Gardening Supervisor.
The post is available on a temporary basis, for 12 months.
The vacancy is full-time (37 hours) generally from Monday to Friday. To be successful you will need to be flexible to meet operational needs. From time to time you may be asked to work on different days, in the evening or at the weekend.
You will oversee a small team of gardeners working at the council’s sites across Didcot that include landscaped areas, parks, sports pitches, play areas and the cemetery. The role will involve general basic maintenance, play equipment repairs, grounds maintenance work, pitch marking, gate keeping, litter picking, the application of herbicides under COSHH guidelines and maintaining high levels of safety within the team.
This is a great opportunity to join a team that enjoys serving the local community. The team is based at Edmonds Park, Park Road, Didcot.
