The Town Council consists of 21 councillors, who represent the 4 wards which cover Didcot;

All Saints, Park and Northbourne have 5 councillors and Ladygrove 6, a map showing the 4 wards is available here (pdf) or from the One Stop Shop in the Civic Offices on Britwell Road.

Councillors do not receive any payment for being elected Members and give their time voluntarily to the benefit of the community and residents.

The Town Council is a Quality Town Council. It was first awarded quality status on 28th June 2004. It was then successfully reacredited Quality Status in June 2009. For more information click here.

The Leader of the Council for 2009/10 is Councillor Bill Service and the Deputy Leader for 2009/10 is Councillor Tony Harbour.

The Town Council elects a Mayor and Deputy Mayor to serve for one year. Meetings of the Council are chaired by the Mayor, assisted by the Deputy Mayor in accordance with standing orders. The Mayor of Didcot for 11th May 2009 to 10th May 2010 is Councillor Margaret Turner; the Deputy Mayor is Councillor John Flood.
