510. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTS

Mrs E Hards and Mrs A Service both declared a personal interest in item 511 and 517, referring to Willowbrook Leisure Centre, as they are both members of the centre.

511. SOLL WILLOWBROOK LEISURE CENTRE QUARTERLY REPORT

The quarterly monitoring report was circulated and presented by Julio Barresi, Willowbrook Centre Manager and Anne-Marie Hicks, SOLL Contract Manager for Willowbrook.

512. MINUTES

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 30th October 2006 (estimates) and 14th November 2006 (budget) be approved and signed as a true and correct record.

513. STANDING ORDER REVIEW SUB-COMMITTEE

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meetings held on 6th November 2006, 20th November 2006 and 9th January 2007, all attached, are agreed and recommended for adoption by Council.

RESOLVED that the Town Clerk is granted authority to correct any typing or grammatical errors.

514. FINANCIAL STATEMENT

The financial statement for Month 9 was circulated.

515. GREAT WESTERN PARK – MANAGEMENT OF FACILITIES

A letter was circulated from South Oxfordshire District Council asking whether the Council was interested in taking on the management of any facilities either when the development is built or at some point in the future, should it be offered by the developers.

RESOLVED that, in principle, agreement be given subject to the timing of the handover, any financial consideration, the current boundary review and the facilities which will be provided.

516. CORRESPONDENCE

(a) Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust – Certificate of Donation

It was noted that the sum of £32.65 had been donated through the One Stop Shop collection box.

Acknowledgement of grant.

(c) Public Information Pillars

It was noted that South Oxfordshire District Council would be unlikely to support a planning application seeking to install and advertise on the pillars.

517. EXEMPT INFORMATION – CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS

Public bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 section 1 extended by LGA 1972 Section 100.

RESOLVED that in the view of the confidential nature of the business about to be transacted, it is in the opinion of this Council and advisable in the public interest, that the public and press be temporarily excluded and they are instructed to withdraw.

WILLOWBROOK LEISURE CENTRE – GRANT REQUEST FOR 2007/2008

518. OPEN SESSION

WILLOWBROOK LEISURE CENTRE – GRANT REQUEST FOR 2007/2008

RESOLVED that the grant for year 1st April 2007 to 31st March 2008 is increased to £70,391, with the additional funding allocated from reserves.

RESOLVED that the options for funding the centre are reviewed.
