RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting held on 4th November 2009 be approved and signed as a true and correct record.

Referring to Minute 264, application P09/W0956, land adjacent to Marsh Bridge Cottages, it was noted that the committee had also commented that there should be no right turn onto Broadway from this proposed development.

291. ROAD NAME FOR DEVELOPMENT AT REAR OF COLBORNE CLOSE

A report was circulated detailing a list scientists who had played a significant part in the development of Rutherford Appleton Laboratories (RAL) and AERE at Harwell. This list had been complied in consultation with RAL and AERE following a recommendation made by the committee on 23rd September 2009, Minute 195 refers. The list also included a brief resume of each scientists’ life.

RECOMMENDED that the development be named Manning Close/Way after Geoff Manning, a past director of RAL, and that this recommendation is submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council for consideration.
