385. Request for Temporary Road Closure – street olympics – 28th april 2007
This item was deferred from the last meeting of this Committee so that additional information could be obtained. This was received and circulated to all members of the Committee.
The Committee was concerned about the road closure being on a Saturday, the busiest day of the week, between 7am and 4pm, and the impact this would have on the re-routing of bus services, no access to the two temporary car parks and Saturday community skip facility.
RESOLVED that the above observations be forwarded under delegated authority from Council (Minute 366. (e) refers) to South Oxfordshire District Council in respect of the request for a temporary road closure from Hitchcock Way to Lower Broadway.
