570. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTS

Members were reminded to declare any personal or prejudicial interests on any item on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct.

(a) Councillor Mrs M Turner declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Minute 573 planning application P08/W0461 as she lives close by. Councillor Mrs M Turner also declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Minute 573 planning application P08/W0475 as she is an acquaintance of the applicant.

(b) Councillor Capt J Flood declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Minute 573 application number P08/W0475 as he is an acquaintance of the applicant.

(c) Councillor Mrs M Flood declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Minute 573 application number P08/W0475 as she is an acquaintance of the applicant.

571. MINUTES

RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting held on 9th April 2008 be approved and signed as a true and correct record.

Councillor Mrs M Turner left the Committee for the next item but remained in the room. Councillor Mrs M Service chaired the Committee for the next item.

572. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

RESOLVED that the meeting be adjourned to enable the following speakers to address the committee on behalf of the approximate 45 members of the public who were in attendance.

Mrs Snowden handed 16 pieces of correspondence to the committee all stating their objections to planning application P08/W0461, copies of these will be sent to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) who are the planning authority.

Councillor Mrs M turner left the room whilst the Committee debated the next item.

RESOLVED that the following decisions be notified to the appropriate authority in accordance with Standing Order 54, which gives delegated authority to consider and respond to planning applications:

The letters of objection were NOTED at this point.

It was noted that the proposed opening hours of the bar were an issue for the Licensing Authority (SODC).

No strong views, with the condition that the outside area at the back is not open beyond 10pm.
