Find out the latest information on the planned upgrade and refurbishment of Didcot Civic Hall.
CIVIC HALL PROJECT UPDATE
As detailed on the Didcot Town Council home page, the Civic Hall Project is on track with the site closing for public use from 30th June 2010. It is hoped that the upgraded building will be operational again in May 2011.
Most of our regular groups and societies have found temporary homes. Blood Donors have moved to the Marlborough Club, CEROC will be using St Birinus School Hall (earlier start at 7.30pm), and several of our smaller groups have moved to Fleet Meadow Community Centre and the various church halls.
The only group which is struggling is the Phoenix Drama Society who are experiencing difficulty in finding a rehearsal venue and storage facilities for their props. If you have any suggestions they will be delighted to hear from you. Contact them on:- didcotpheonixdrama@hotmail.co.uk
Keep an eye on this page for regular progress reports and society news where applicable.
