TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A full list of conditions is available upon request. The signing of this booking form confirms that the hirer will be bound by these specific conditions.
It is a condition of hiring the hall that the hirer has adequate cover for public liability. Unless the hirer or their organisation possess their own Public Liability insurance, we will arrange cover at a cost of 10% of the hire fee.
Provisional bookings will be held open for a period agreed with the management up to a maximum of 30 days. Within that time a deposit of 25% will be required for a private function, and a confirmation letter or Email for a corporate event. If these are not received, the booking will be considered void and the date made available again.
In the event of a cancellation, deposits for private functions are non-refundable, and the management reserve the right to charge corporate customers 25% of the hire fee.
SPECIFIC TO PRIVATE HIRE:-
The hall is hired out on the understanding that it is returned to “as found” condition. All debris should be removed from tables and the floor.
We forbid the use of party poppers, table glitter and confetti owing to the disproportionate amount of problems they cause with damage to equipment and general mess.
Adequate time should be allowed for preparation of the hall and for clearing up afterwards. This must be included in the hire period and is chargeable. Where a bar is provided, this will always close no later than thirty minutes before the agreed end of an event. It is requested that patrons leave the hall within thirty minutes at the end of an event.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient stewards to attend to the specific security needs of that event. Their duties must include control of admissions and cloakrooms, exclusion of the general public, being aware of the evacuation procedure, ensuring emergency exits are kept clear, supervision of the conduct of patrons, and the prevention of damage. They must ensure that there are no admissions or re-admissions after 10.00pm.
It is strictly forbidden for patrons to bring alcohol or soft drinks onto the premises for their own consumption. The only exception is table wine at receptions where an appropriate corkage fee has been agreed.
