One Stop Shop

The Didcot One Stop Shop provides information across a range of local authority services and acts as a signpost for access to these services.

It is located in the Council Offices on Britwell Road, by the Civic Hall opposite Didcot Health Centre.

Opening times are 9.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, and 9.00am to 3.45pm on Fridays.

The main benefit to the local community is the provision of a local point of contact, access to services and the ability to enable and co-ordinate local enquiries more efficiently.

Recycling

The One Stop Shop holds a supply of the Green Recycling Boxes, provided free of charge to residents. And clear recycling bags @ £2.50 for 25.

South Oxfordshire District Council's garden waste scheme is a good way to conveniently get rid of your garden waste.

So far, nearly 3,000 residents have paid for the service, which means they can have garden waste collected from their property in a wheeled bin every fortnight, on the same day as the normal refuse and recycling collections. The service costs just £30 per year or £28.50 if you pay by direct debit. More information can be found by going to www.southoxon.gov.uk/gardenwaste.

Residents can use their wheeled bins for all types of garden waste such as weeds, hedge clippings, dead flowers and grass cuttings. All garden waste collected will be composted locally and used to improve local farmland.

Please note the following two services have stopped:
