Didcot Town Council & The One Stop Shop Christmas Opening Hours
Didcot Town Council and The One Stop Shop will be closed from lunchtime on the 24th December and will reopen on the morning of Monday 5th January.
Please also note that the The One Stop Shop and Didcot Town Council offices will be closed for the afternoon of the 19th December.

Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Didcot 2008/2009
Didcot Town Council elected a new Mayor and Deputy Mayor at its Annual Meeting on the 12th May 2008.
The Mayor Designate Councillor Tony Harbour was elected Mayo
r of Didcot for 2008/2009. Councillor Harbour has served on the Council since 2003 and served as Deputy Mayor to Councillor Bernard Cooper in 2007/2008. Councillor Harbour was handed his chain by the former Mayor (pictured right) and his Mayoral robes by Army Cadet Sam Haines in front of approximately 45 members of the public and invited guests.
A reception after the meeting was held which was in turn followed by the first Mayor Making Dinner, at which around 120 people attended. There were speeches by the Mayor, Ed Vaizey MP and from two members of the Mayor's chosen charities, Nadine Plunkett from The Didcot Hospital League of Friends and Sandra Spencer from SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) Based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The new Deputy Mayor for 2008/2009 is Councillor Margaret Turner. Councillor Turner has served on Didcot Town Council since 2003 and also serves as a District Councillor. The Deputy Mayor was handed her chain by the new Mayor and her robes by ATC Cadet Sgt Hannah Clarke
The Town Council elects a Mayor and Deputy Mayor to serve for one year. Meetings of the Council are chaired by the Mayor, assisted by the Deputy Mayor in accordance with standing orders. The Mayor of Didcot for 12th May 2008 to 11th May 2009 is Councillor Tony Harbour, the Mayoress is Amanda Harbour; the Deputy Mayor is Councillor Margaret Turner, the Consort is Mr Michael Turner (all pictured right).
