The upgrade and redevelopment of the Edmonds Park play area was officially .jpg)
opened today (8th April 2009) by the Mayor Tony Harbour, the Chair of SODC Colin Daukes and a host of young people and their parents including 12 year old Calvin Williams who had the honour of cutting theribbon. The new play area got great reviews from children and parents alike.
The exciting new design hasa more natural feel and is designed topromoteconstructive play with an element of risk and fun but in a controlled and safe environment..jpg)
The design was formulated after consultation with children from all the localprimary schools in the catchment area along with members of The Vibe Youth Club and pupils from both the secondary schools.
There will be more pictures of the opening in the upcomingDidcot Dynamo due out at the end of April.
