D-Day Service, Harwell Memorial Stone, Harwell Campus
On Saturday 3rd June 2023 The new Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the 79th D-Day Memorial Service at the Memorial Stone on Harwell Campus.
The service was attending by local Army, Air and Scout cadets along with other dignitaries. The Mayor laid a wreath on behalf of Didcot Town Council.

First Give Final, Didcot Girls School
On Friday 9th June 2023 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the First Give Charities Event at DGS where Cllr Macdonald was one of the judges.
Students from year 9 tutor groups took part and all were representing worthy charities, the winners on the day were 9ALE who won £1000 for their chosen charity SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity).
Well done to them!

Scouts Thames Ridge AGM, Northcourt Centre, Abingdon
On Tuesday 20th June 2023, The Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended the Scouts Thames Ridge AGM at Northcourt Centre, Abingdon.
It was interesting to hear from the unit who are fundraising and making preparations for the upcoming jamboree and they were presented with a donation from the District for this event.
We hope they have an enjoyable experience when they go.
DGS/SBS Concert
On Thursday 29th June 2023 the Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended a concert with students from both schools performing. The students are very talented and Cllr Macdonald had a wonderful evening watching all the performances.
Northbourne School 60th Birthday Party & Fete
The Mayor of Didcot, Cllr Axel Macdonald attended Northbourne School's 60th birthday party and fete on Friday 30th June 2023 where he called the raffle. There were lots of things for the family to enjoy and do and Cllr Macdonald had a lovely evening. Well done to the staff and PTA for putting on a fun event for the schools birthday.
