Upcoming Didcot Town Council Events

Each year Didcot Town Council hosts an array of events including Didcot Town Awards, The Mayor's Fundraising Ball, Didcot Remembrance Day Parade and Service, Christmas Activity Day and Festive Fun Run.

As well as these annual events DTC also hosts various events and community competitions throughout the year.

Didcot Town Council aims to raise money for charity or help the community during our events. Each year the Mayor select the charity they would like to raise money for during their term.

This year, Mayor Pam Siggers has chosen two charities which are Wynter's Wish and Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire.

Christmas Card Competition

Ends Monday 5th December

Help us design the Mayors Christmas Card!

You can draw, paint and create anyway you like and the competition is open to all ages.

The winning image will be the front of the Mayor of Didcot, Councillor Pam Siggers, Christmas card.

Send your entry to us via email at or drop them in to Didcot Civic Hall by Monday 5th December.

All entries will then be displayed at the Didcot Civic Hall Christmas Activity Day on Saturday 17th December 2022.

Festive Fun Run

Saturday 17th December 2022

Didcot Town Council have teamed up with parkrun to organise a charity 5k Festive Fun Run on Saturday 17th December at 9am in Ladygrove Park. Everyone that signs up with us will receive a medal, certificate and Santa suit to wear during the run. You can still freely take part in parkrun without signing up to our charity run.

Price: Adults £10 and Under 15: £5

We are looking for stall holders, decoration donations or anyone that would be able to help us make a magical Christmas experience in Didcot.

To take part in the craft room and meet Father Christmas you can book here for £8 per child - only over 3 year olds can take part in the crafts.

Mayor's Fundraiser Ball

Each year the Mayor of Didcot hosts a fundraising ball at Didcot Civic Hall. This year Councillor Pam Siggers will be hosting a Valentines Ball to raise money for Wynter's Wish and Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire.

Tickets are £60pp and includes a welcome drink, three course meal and entertainment.

Town Awards

The Didcot Town Awards are held each year at Didcot Civic Hall and aim to celebrate the community and the great things Didcot residents have done throughout the year.

Anyone can nominate and anyone can be nominated!

Once the winners have been chosen, an awards night is held with all nominees invited to enjoy entertainment and a buffet.

Barn Dance

Last year the Barn Dance was a great success so we have decided to host it again.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday 29th April 2023 at Didcot Civic Hall.

Opening performance from Bernadine Soul's School of Dance and great ceilidh music from band Mouse and Trouser followed by a disco.
