Closure of Cow Lane underpass and Basil Hill Road

A message from Oxfordshire County Council:

As part of the Department for Transport's current active-travel initiative to promote cycling during the Covid recovery phase the following roads in Didcot will be closed:

Cow Lane underpass

The underpass will be closed to motor vehicles, therefore allowing two way cyclists and pedestrians to use the road and footway into and out of the Ladygrove estate. As well as promoting cycling, this will also aid with social distancing through the underpass.

Basil Hill Road

The road will be closed to motor vehicles except for buses and access to off street premises, thereby reprioritising the road space for cyclists.#
