Faith in Service

Following redecoration; essential maintenance and up-grading of lights in the main sports hall, Didcot Town Council will open the doors of the Willowbrook building in November 2021.

The aim is to open the space on a phased basis, to as many different activities as possible while the Centre returns to providing activities for the community post pandemic. Priority will be given to previous users and groups based in Didcot. User bookings for badminton; football; birthday parties and fitness classes will return in due course.

Local sports clubs; community organisations and activity groups are encouraged to view the up-grades during November and to try the space subject to availability.

Please note that it will not be possible to open as a gym in the short term.

The building will be open on a limited basis whilst recruitment takes place with a view to extending the hours as demand grows. Cllr Denise Macdonald, Leader of Didcot Town Council said: "The health and wellbeing of Didcot residents has always been a priority for the Town Council. The Councillors and staff have worked tirelessly to open the building as quickly and safely as possible whilst prioritizing essential safety improvements and re-decoration. We are delighted that Willowbrook is now ready to open to the Community."

If you are interested in bringing your group back to Willowbrook, please contact Nick White or Stuart Mundy at Didcot Town Council at

If you are interested in discussing a more permanent, long term arrangement, please contact our consultant, Craig Mulhall of Mulhall Leisure Consultancy at MLC will be conducting a user survey and community consultation in the coming weeks.
