Queen's Green Canopy

Queen's Green Canopy

Didcot Town Council have planted trees and hedgerows in Ladygrove for the Queen's Green Canopy project. This was supported by a grant from TOE (Trust for Oxfordshire's Environment) with funding from Grundon Waste Management Ltd through the Landfill Communities Fund.

The Queen's Green Canopy:
In December 2022, Didcot Town Council planted over 70 trees and 300 whips in Ladygrove, for the Queen's Green Canopy.

It is hoped that the local community will aide the Council in ensuring the survival of these trees by helping with watering in the warmer weather and checking the guards and fencing around the trees are still in place.

The Town Council will be arranging activity days this year to help educate people on how important these trees are to the community and to all the wildlife.
