How safe is your electric blanket?

Each October the District Councils work the Fire Service and Trading Standards to offer free electrical safety checks for older and vulnerable people who use electric blankets to keep warm during the colder months.

This year due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place, electric blankets will be collected from people's homes to be tested instead of people bringing their blankets to a venue to be tested.... Read More »

On 25 July when leisure centres could reopen most of the centres across the two districts were able to do so under the government's covid-19 guidance.
