As Remembrance Day is approaching this week, Mayor Eleanor Hards has paid respects to all Commonwealth War Graves in Didcot that are known to us.

Remembrance Day 2020

Remembrance Day 2020

Unfortunately we were not able to hold a Remembrance Day parade this year due to government lockdown rules, however a small socially distanced service took place this morning at Didcot War Memorial on Small Bone Recreation Ground.

Wreaths were laid by Didcot Town Mayor, Eleanor Hards, Royal British Legion President, 11 EOD and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant.

Showing Support for Armed Forces this Weekend

Although we cannot show our support for Armed Forces this weekend the way we have in previous years, there are still ways to support Remembrance Day whilst adhering to lockdown guidelines.

We can all face problems that are too stressful or complicated to sort out alone.

Last year our 150 volunteers advised over 11,000 people. We helped three quarters resolve their debt, benefits, employment and housing problems.
