Temporary Night Road Closure at Didcot, Jubilee way & Roundabout, Broad Way, Roebuck Court & Hitchcock Way
In the interests of public safety it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road as detailed below in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 02/06/2019 (at 20:00hrs).

Grant Aid Award
Didcot Town Council gave a Grant Aid Award to Didcot Library for activities to coincide with the children's Summer Reading Challenge.
The Council gave an award of £300 which helped fund various entertainers at the Summer events.

Allotment Burn Dates
The Allotment Burn dates for 2019 have been agreed.
Spring: 6th April - 22nd April (inclusive)
Autumn: 19th October - 2nd November (inclusive)
As always, please ensure that lit fires are not left unattended and consideration is given to neighbours. Please do not import any external rubbish for burning.

Annual Town Meeting
Dear Residents of Didcot
The Town Council will be holding its Annual Town Meeting on Wednesday 20th March 2019 at 7:30pm in the main hall at Didcot Civic Hall. The Annual Town Meeting is a chance to hear from the Town Council on the work it has been doing and how it has been spending your taxes on your behalf.

Old stacking chairs
The Council have available approx. 120 chairs (various conditions) free to a Charity, Parish Council or club.
If you are interested and would like to view them please contact Tony Rudge via email trudge@didcot.gov.uk.
They will need to be collected or could be delivered locally for a small fee.

Temporary Road Closure at Brightwell cum Sotwell, Sires Hill
A request has been received from Thames Water for a temporary road closure to apply to a section of Sires Hill whilst water mains B Box Exchange works are carried out.
A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closures and will operate on 1st April 2019 only.

Temporary Footpath Closure – at Didcot, Footpath-5
A request has been received from David Wilson Homes (Southern) Limited for a temporary footpath closure to apply to a section of Footpath Number 5 , whilst essential construction works are carried out.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 03/03/2019.

Grant Aid Award
Didcot Town Council gave a Grant Aid Award to Anna Gattrel and her team of helpers to provide a free Christmas lunch for lonely people in Didcot.
The £500 awarded helped pay for the food and drinks and free hampers for all those who attended.
