Closure of Ladygrove Lakes

Ladygrove Lakes are closed until further notice due to blue-green algae.

Blue-green algae can produce toxins that can cause adverse health effects to humans through skin contact, ingestion and inhalation. Livestock and dogs should also be kept away, so please ensure that you keep a close eye on children and dogs when nearby.

Cockcroft Road Post Office

The Cockcroft Post Office was closed in May 2017 following the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.

Unfortunately since the closure, the Post Office has been unable to restore a service, this branch will remain temporarily closed.

OCC Update - Cow Lane Closure

Further to the previous notice of closure, Edward Murch (Highway Officer) has provided a briefing note regarding why pedestrian access cannot be maintained throughout the duration of the Network Rail works.

The footway will only be closed 9am - 3pm Mon - Fri, but during these hours it will not be safe for foot traffic.

Spring Bank Holiday bin collection changes

Reminder of changes to householders of waste collections during the week following the Spring Bank Holiday Monday.

There will be no waste collections on Bank Holiday Monday 28 May. Everyone's bins will then be emptied one day later than usual for the rest of that week.
