Acer tree donated by local teenager Jake McIntyre
Local teenager Jake McIntyre aged 14 and a pupil at St Birinus Boys School, has very kindly donated a gorgeous Acer tree to Didcot Town Council.
Jake, along with help from Sam, a member of the outdoor team, planted the Acer and an array of other beautiful flowers into a donated planter which can be seen at the front of Didcot Civic Hall.

Statement regarding the grass cutting in Didcot - 2023
Future grass cutting in Didcot in 2023
Didcot Town Council's historic agreement with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) to manage the cutting of the grass verges came to an end from March 2023.
OCC resumed responsibility for this service from April 2023 and will only carry out ONE cut per year.

Soil box made by St Birinus School to be used at Kynaston Road Cemetery
The Mayor, Councillor Pam Siggers, collected a beautifully made wooden soil box from St Birinus School on Thursday 19th January 2023.
The soil box was made by a technician at the school and was gifted to the Town Council for use by families during services in the Kynaston Road Cemetery.

Didcot's fisrt 'Green roof' bus shelter
On Saturday 16th October 2021, Didcot Town Council installed the first SEDUM ROOF bus shelter in Didcot.
It is situated on Avon Way/Dagdale Drive and is ready to be used! The plants will help absorb CO2 and release oxygen, while the flowers will be great for bees providing a haven and a welcome food source for many different pollinators along the roadside.

Footpath Closure - Entrance of Stubbings Land from Bluebell Lane
The footpath into Stubbings Land from Bluebell Lane will be shut for approximately 2 weeks or until works are complete from the afternoon of Monday 22nd March.

Didcot Playgrounds Reopening
Didcot Town Council have tonight received confirmation from central government that playgrounds can remain open, and we will be reopening Didcot's first thing tomorrow morning for residents to use.
