After holding the Sunflower Competition for many years, we had some residents ask us, why don't we hold a Pumpkin Growing Competition too, so we are!

To enter, send though a photo of your pumpkin to events@didcot.gov.uk by Monday 2nd November 2026.

Included in the photos sent, we need to see photos clearly showing a tape measure measuring the following:

1. Circumference
Measure all the way around the pumpkin at its widest point, keeping the tape measure parallel to the ground.

2. Height
Place the tape measure on the ground at the stem end and stretch it over the pumpkin, and measure the distance to the ground at the blossom end.

3. Width
Measure the distance from side to side across the widest part of the pumpkin, ensuring the tape is straight.
